Released in 1982, Plastic Surgery Disasters captures Dead Kennedys at their sharpest and most unhinged. It pushes beyond straight hardcore into darker, more experimental territory—blistering tempos collide with jagged rhythms, odd textures, and apocalyptic sarcasm. Jello Biafra’s lyrics skewer consumerism, political rot, paranoia, and American decay with ruthless wit, while the band sounds tighter, angrier, and more dangerous than ever. It’s confrontational, smart, and still uncomfortable decade
