The U.S. military launched another round of strikes against Iran late Wednesday night, U.S. Central Command said, in the second night of attacks as diplomacy between the two countries appears to collapse.

The US military said it’s striking Iran for the second straight day, an escalation of violence that threatens to strain an already fragile ceasefire.

Explosions have been reported by Iranian state media in parts of the country's south.
